  • Comments Thread For: Khan Felt Mayweather Was Close After Meeting Demands

Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) felt he was within closing distance of a showdown with WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs).

Khan has been chasing after a Mayweather fight since 2013. He signed on with adviser/manager Al Haymon - believing it would make things easier to get Mayweather in the ring. Even Haymon was unable to convince Mayweather to face Khan.

Does anybody else get the feel that Amir has a room or two in his place with the walls completely lined in cutout pictures of Floyd with the eyes all cut out of them, or is it just me

now i have thought similar things lol. khan is beyond obsessed with floyd he wishes he was floyd he has admitted as much. there is no doubt he has a weird obsession with floyd that goes far beyond wanting to fight him

Does this idiot even know what he's saying?

"I beat Welterweights coming off impressive wins"

            Alexander was 1-1

Algeri was coming off a loss and looked terrible.

If you had taken the career pay day and beat Brook for his IBF title THEN you would have been in position and met any "demands" but you thougnt you'd duck that one.

That Just Shows U, Haymon Is About Growing A Brothel; Not Making The Best Fights

Al wants to own as many fighters as possible so to shuffle names around; he's not about making the best fights. Since his kickoff fight of Thurman-Guerrero which was well received and a brawl, Al's fights have fallen off the radar, poor ratings across the board. Khan zigged when he should have zagged. And basically confessed he was very careful who to choose at 147, so not to blow s chance at Floyd. Didn't work. Now he's trying to land the next biggest payday with Pacquiao. Khan, you're wasting time you wuss. Fight the division's best, best them, then the top names have to fight you. Collazo, Algieri, Alexander don't get you top billing.

Didn't your last two opponents come off embarrassing one-sides beat downs?

Khan youve accomplished NOTHING @147. Thats why you didnt get the fight. His best win at WW was Alexander...& he was coming off a loss against Porter. Either you Khantrrds ignore it or youve been 'Khan'd'! The only prime fighter hes faced was Algieri and he.wasnt ranked at 147. Either you Khantrrds ignore that Algieri was a 140lbrr or youve been "Khan'd"! Also bcuz Khan has accomplished nothing at welter it makes him a weak opponent for a Floyd Mayweather. Weaker than Berto bcuz Berto has at least held two WW titles previously. How many 147lb titles has Khan held? 0!!

I have no doubt in my mind that Khan, had he gotten the fight, wouldve retired after being KOd and self annoint himself an ATG. Thank Gawd he didnt get it...hahahaha. If Khan didnt dodge everybody the last few yrs he wouldve most likely got the fight..goes for Brook too..stop swerving everybody.

Khans lying his @$$ offin this article...smh..these guys werent coming off "big wins"..
