But that's flawed logic... Tarver clearly wasn't the best fighter in the world when he clobbered jones, and taylor wasn't #1 after beating hopkins twice.. Plus marquez was turned into a sparring partner by floyd... Hard to have Juan ahead of floyd

Hopkins was the #1 fighter once roy jones got knocked out in early 2004.. Hopkins lost to taylor around the same time as floyd beat gatti... That pretty much started the #1 reign for floyd, though he has been p4p since 1998
