Sergio Martinez could come out of retirement and try to avenge his early career loss to Margarito.

Wonder if Sergio could beat this guy today.

Watch Cotto/Marg II again. Marg was coming on later and the whole fight right from jump Cotto was just targeting that eye to try to get the fight stopped. He was on his way to being beaten up again I think. I just think Marg has Cotto's #, hand wrap scandal or not. I think the Cotto train ends Nov 21 and the illusion will be revealed. If Cotto beats Canelo I will give him props 100% but I think Canelo busts him up and stops him late. This "resurgence" with Roach is orchestrated for the most part. Regardless if Cotto wins or loses, don't listen to Roach's lying ass loud full of crap mouth, we will NEVER see Cotto in with GGG no matter what.

That last Round Cotto Won pretty easy. What you think you saw was when cameras showed Cotto's face showing a bit of fatigue misleading everyone. that last round showed that Margacheatos head started to snap back too much.

that movie in your head does not match what was really going on. I would have love the fight could continued.

Hopefully he fights a couple nobodies and gets it out of his system, because anyone worth a damn at 154-160 will beat Margarito blind and ******ed.

So, if one wants to look at that as some type of evidence that he had been cheating all along, or at least against Cotto, I think it doesn't hold up. Also, if memory serves me right, he didn't even fight the same style of fight against Roberto Garcia as he did against Cotto or even in his loss to Shane. Looked to me as if he was actually trying to outbox Garcia instead of mow him down, at points.
Margarito was landing on mosley but one thing thst is forgotten is how much and often mosley clinched.

            It was A Lot.

Margarito couldn't get his momentum and work rate... every time he could get some offense going and walking shane down shane would grab him and then use his speed advantage to get in a few huge shots immediately after the ref broke them up.. then move a bit punch once or twice and throw timing off by lunging forward after back peddling to grab the hell outta margarito.

Notice cotto used this tactic of holding in their second fight

It kind of was, Margarito was just ****ed because of his eye. He wasn't going to stop Cotto again, but he had his best couple rounds before the fight was stopped.

No way. He beat Sergio senseless and knocked him out on his feet.

He didn't get cuckolded like cotto but rather simply got sonned.

Margarito style is all wrong for a Sergio without his wheels. Sergio has no high guard defense and without his foot speed he won't be able to dictate distance and keep margarito on the ouside off him.

This is true, as well. Margaritas didn't really land all that much on Shane and what he did land, he couldn't follow up on. Antonio was known to have heavy hands that wear opponents down after he's touched them wherever he could (head, body, shoulders, elbows, didn't matter where)...Shane didn't allow that. Which is even more reason as to why the loss to Shane doesn't hold up as any evidence of foul play.

I was a huge Margarito fan. But why is this man not in prison? Shame on Top Rank for even promoting him after the fact. Although that is the only way that a little justice could be done by Manny and also let Cotto exorcise those memories.
