Comments Thread For: Random USADA Testing For PBC is on Fight By Fight Basis

North Bergen, New Jersey - Last week, BoxingScene.com reported that there would be no random testing done by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for Last Friday's Premier Boxing Champions on Spike TV fight between Antonio Tarver and Steve Cunningham in Newark, NJ.

When BoxingScene.com spoke to Cunningham at his open media workout, Cunningham admitted he wanted random testing throughout camp but will settle for the urine and blood testing before and after the fight.

Interesting, given the way Haymon hemorrhages money on everything else. Maybe he wants certain fighters to have a competitive advantage for their fights?

I kinda already knew that. Publicity stunt just like Mayweather's drug testing crusade.

with the corruption and plan none oversight of the boxing the one thing that amazes me is they have still not passed a law for better drug testing. I mean were talking about a sport where people die and lawmakers still have not made a law. if you leave it up to these promoters and managers of course they will not test their athletes in a legit fashion no matter what they say. Obviously there is more important things to do in this country but just the sheer fact that these promoters and commissions have managed to keep government oversight out of their way is amazing. I mean they dont even make these guys blood test just a simple urine test. Just boggles my mind how much the boxing world gets away with. I guess the whole point of a commission is oversight and to protect the fighters but its so obvious that these promoters donate to campaigns so they can keep getting away with whatever they want. I remember arum congratulating harry reid the senator of nevada for re election u know dam well arum gave a good chunk of change to his campaign. Just a shame how dirty the boxing world is and that no one is willing to do anything about it.

Random testing on a fight by fight basis? Yes, very random that.
