    Good buisiness do

The ratio of mismatches to good matchups is horrible

figueroa also got Demarco out of his coach

I wish i could fully support PBC, but this is embarrassing

I was a full supporter of PBC and was the one thinking it will be great for boxing because the sport will be getting more exposure. PBC has provided us with some good fights but it's just not consistent at all. When it first began, numbers were solid, outdoing HBO. However, due to the mismatches and inconsistent matches, viewership has fallen. HBO can deal with giving us a couple of mismatches because they have their clientele established, PBC though, cannot afford to showcase mismatches because the casual fans have not caught on to it yet. Quillen/Zerafa, Stevenson/Karpency,Garcia/Malignaggi are unacceptable fights.

This is his first defense as a World champion, away from home in a foreign country against a respectable name. For a first defense it is a good fight.

I'm not a promotional fanboy, but the excessive criticism for PBC/Haymon is preventing people from looking at individual situations and gets really tedious at times.

wasn't the whole point of the pbc to be something different? i mean it's called premier boxing champions. i expected that the champions would fight each other you know instead of doing the same mismatches that have always taken place in boxing. oh well

This will be a great fight for Selby on the undercard of Chavez Jr vs Paul Smith on NBCSports.
Katy, Texas will be rockin' in Oct! lol

What's funny is he'll probably have a scare here like every other PBC fighter who usually fought in fights they were supposed to dominate

probably. i think the big paydays make pbc fighters soft. they are no longer hungry now that they know haymon is taking care of them so they let off the gas just that little bit that makes them look less than stellar.

Thought I made it clear I'm not a promotional fan-tard.

But I must ask where does the PBC acronym suggests it will be all about unifications? Their whole competitive edge is being free.

I do think the critique gets tedious at times not because I care about Haymon, but in this scenario people are overlooking the circumstance of the individual in question. This is a good first defense fight. Traveling outside of your country for your first defense is commendable especially if you can make $ at home. Not to mention Montiel even at this stage is better than the bum Lomachenko or Walters fought in their first defenses.

Montiel is old and used up and doesn't belong at feather. He doesn't have a decent win since before Donaire at 118, and was muscled around at 122.
