Alvarez, Beterbiev, and Stevenson are all in the same family [GYM], with Fonfara, in essence, being a kissing cousin [signed to Haymon].

Beterbiev-Alvarez is likely to happen at some point in the future, but there's no need to rush that, especially with the way things are positioned in the division.

Need to see more of Chilemba's fights to draw an opinion on the guy, but Alvarez looks good enough to rout him from the bits I've seen (Especially knowing that the GYM relationship to Haymon/PBC will likely ensure that he gets home advantage for the WBC eliminator).

May even mess around and land a PBC double header from Montreal, with Beterbiev-Rodriguez and Alvarez-Chilemba as the two fights.

Once things gets squared away (Stevenson as WBC champion, Beterbiev as IBF champion, Fonfara as wba mandatory challenger/top WBA challenger, Alvarez as WBC mandatory challneger/WBO top 5 challenger, etc), you can then turn to those in-house showdowns, especially with all the names in the mix (sans Stevenson) are either 30 or younger.

I would've agreed, but I watched Alvarez-Prieto the other night and he looked very basic and beatable, I'm not even sure he won.

Chilemba is the more accomplished boxer, I think he tames Alvarez.

Only knock on him is the lack of power which means it's harder for him to convince judges he wins the rounds.

I have lost some respect for Beterbiev. He needs to man up and stop ducking the best light heavyweight in the world Sergey Kovalev.

        Kovalev destroys Beterbiev

"In the eliminator for the IBF light heavyweight title, the New Yorker Sean Monaghan declined the invitation to face Artur Beterbiev (IBF # 2). The next ranked contender by the IBF and available is Jean Pascal (IBF # 8). The deadline for response is 21 August," said Beterbiev's handlers GYM.
Jean Pascal is now on the clock and has until Aug. 21st to accept a fight with Artur Beterbiev in an IBF eliminator fight.

I like it! Big fight in Montreal, either redeems Pascal to challenge Kovalev or validate Beterbiev as being ready for the Krusher.

i'd love to see him get a shot at ward or kovalev at 175 in 2016. kid looks strong as hell, and has a technical style and background.

He should face Sakio Bika if he can't secure a fight against a high profile opponent. Bika's a durable gritty fighter who's face a lot of the top guys and who has never been KO'd.

With the prospect of a rematch with Kovalev would it be wise for Pascal to face Beterbiev? I don't think so.

I expect Pascal to pass. Barrera too. Mohammedi might take the fight, but that would be a sad match-up.
