Pascal doesn't deserve a Kovalev rematch. He should fight Beterbiev instead.

Beterbiev vs Yunieski Gonzalez is a good one too but Gonzalez isn't ranked in the top 15.

        5 Isaac Chilemba
        6 Andrzej Fonfara
        7 Sean Monaghan
        8 Jean Pascal
        9 Sullivan Barrera
        10 Nadjib Mohammedi
        11 Edwin Rodriguez
        12 Eleider Alvarez
        13 Thomas Williams Jr.
        14 Igor Mikhalkin
        15 Karo Murat

Alvarez would be good, so would several others such as Barerra, Monaghan, Williams Jr or Pascal.
I can see everybody turning the shot down right down to Mikhalkin.

TR will likely block Monaghan, Main Events block Barrera, Pascal won't want it, nor will Rodriguez or Alvarez, Williams Jr. either. Mohammedi just got KO'd. Maybe if Haymon puts up millions one of them will take it.

Would Mikhalkin take the fight? I don't know much about him.

          b1tchbiev turned Kovalev down

It's pathetic because Beterbiev was blabbering how he wants to beat Kovalev again and take his titles before when he just put his foot in the pros. Now when Kovalev offered him a chance, he pulled out

I lost respect for Beterbiev, I will LOSE ALL RESPECT if this was his plan to force Kovalev to vacate his title due to Kov's HBO contract. Pieceof****biev

trust me al haymon prolly advised him and his promoter to leave that fight. Al is trying to make every potential great fight into a super fight.

That better be the case, because if Beterbiev takes Kovalev's belt through force due to certain contracts with HBO on Kov's part... I will not respect him at all, I think most Beterbiev fans will lose respect too

Chilemba and Skoglund have turned the IBF final eliminator down.
Beterbiev vs Rodriguez in an IBF title eliminator (doubt that Top Rank or Main Events end up doing business with Haymon, let alone have HBO pay up for another broadcast) at some point in the near future.

With that out of the way, the IBF will likely call Kovalev to make the IBF defense in the next fight (Mohammedi had been named mandatory challenger for the IBF title prior to Hopkins-Kovalev and only didn't get his shot because 1)IBF prioritizes title unifications and 2)being in the same camp with Kovalev, he was happy to take step-aside money to let Kovalev make the Pascal fight. Team Beterbiev will afford Kovalev neither of those options).

That would be an okay fight, but I'd sooner see Beterbiev vs. Alvarez.
