Roach not that great of a trainer.better coach than trainer. If Cotto don't hurt and gain some serious respect from Canelo as Floyd did, it may be a long losing night for the PR. Especially when Canelo gains some serious confidence and start connecting. We could even see a Cotto-Margarito I repeat of Canelo even stopping Cotto when Roachn run out of answers leaving Cotto out there on hopes, swings, and instinct. Good fight though

thats like saying u cant judge a prospect who looks great...

understand cotto was a huge underdog to martinez..i said even a 50% martinez is going to kill him...HE PROVE ME WRONG..

unlike other fans i was basing martinez killing cotto off of cotto's techniques..he went in there ant didnt give martinez the openings i saw in other fights with the left handed trout....he had martinez timed up from the go..u cant blame that ona knee..and sergio was still fast and still moving even while hurt..

he got hit early and often bc cotto is seeing before doing now...

If Canelo boxes smart he will definitely win. If he makes any major mistakes Cotto will definitely catch him. This is actually a tough fight to call. Both are great fighters. Cotto has the experience, while Canelo has power, youth, and good skills on his end as well. I'll be surprised if it goes the distance.

This will also be good way to see how Cotto matches up against an elite fighter since pairing with Roach. I honestly wasn't convinced that Cotto is new improved by beating an old broken down Martinez and undermatched Rodriguez and Geale.

All depends on Cotto's conditioning. I can see Cotto leading during the first half of the fight than fading late. If Cotto has the conditioning than I can see him winning a decision. If not than Canelo's late rally can earn him the "W".

Again opponent determines the success of the fighters improvement not the improvement itself.

To me this is Cottos first CREDIBLE opponent since the Trout fight. Lets see how he does. His last 3 opponents have been calculated matchups to upstart this "new" Cotto and the "genius" of Roach. I'm not buying into that BS.

I'm a Cotto fan, but this is a fair call..... I have the same issue.

And based on that, it is real hard to pick a winner.

Experience is the key to everything in life, but.....

Cotto has experience and is a more well-rounded fighter than Canelo.....

..... but Canelo is tough as nails, young, strong, has a good team, and is well-skilled himself.

Boxing is a young mans game, but experience is the key to everything in life..... fcuked if I know, harder to pick than a broken nose.

                      Great fight !
