Khan has always been a gutsy fighter who wanted to fight the best opponents available. The best opponent available is obviously Floyd, so that was the one Khan wanted above all others.
And I don't think he wanted Floyd for the money, but for the glory and legacy, because he truly believes he can beat Floyd.
The last 2/3 years of Khan's career have been, basically, him waiting for Floyd, and doing whatever Haymon advised him to do to maximise his chances of getting the fight..
Problem is though, that Floyd is his own man and does what he wants to do, not what Haymon would prefer him to do. Khan has realised that at last and what he now needs to do is forget about Floyd and make for the time he wasted waiting around for him.
It's time for Amir to show the guts, heart and fighting spirit he used to be known for. Fight Manny, if he can, and after that, win or lose, Kel Brook.
Even if he loses both those fights Khan will be able to hold his head up high once more. After he finishes counting the money he will earn for them, of course.
