I don't think Japan and UK they are top three though those countries do have good fans.

football(soccer) is huge everywhere and basketball is pretty big internationally these days. You've got to also consider baseball, golf, and all the other sports people like.

Boxing is unfortunately a fringe sport in most countries with any population.

I'd say boxing is the only sport with decent following in most countries.

Football of course has the biggest number of fans but there are countries who don't care about football as much as they do boxing.

In the Philippines:

1st - Basketball (by a very wide margin)
2nd - Boxing (popular even before Pac)
3rd - believe it or not, I think it is Women's Volleyball

These three are only sports regularly shown on TV.
