I think Fury has a great chance of beating Wlad.

Wlad is pushing 40 and has never fought an opponent who is bigger than him and can move and box like Fury.

Absolutely none whatsoever. He's a fun fighter and he's shown some improvement over time, but he's still the oaf that punched himself in the face. He's never faced anyone that can punch or a decent fighter that wasn't half his size.

Klitschko is going to be a very rude awakening.

Definitely. Wlad chin is waiting to be exposed again.

When Tyson lands it's gonna hurt. So tyson has a chance.

Wladimir showed his age in the Jennings fight, although he clearly won. A few year back he would have KOed a fighter on Jennings level (Brock).

However, I still consider Klitschko to be more likely to win - in my view, it's a 60-40 fight.
The sad thing is if he'd applied himself properly from the start then I belive he could have. But he's half assed it his whole career so no I don't think so.

People calling him a "clumsy oaf" are dreaming. He has good natural skill, speed and movement. He's unpolished technically. He's got this far on natural talent and very little else

Clumsy oafs who don't train properly don't get this far

Fury gets underrated a lot. He does some things very well and imo its the livest opponent for wlad since Haye.

            70/30 fight in wlads favour

Early word is that some people want to put money on Fury...I'm thinking about doing that myself

I don't want to take anything away from Fury because he is an excellent opponent, one of Wlad's best and entirely competent. It's just that his competition here is borderline invincible now.

So for me the reality is no. I don't think he has any chance to win. There is a slight chance he might win by decision or wear down for a KO I suppose but for relistic purposes that'd make Douglas have looked like a sure thing vs Mike Tyson!

The only guys who can really beat Wlad are hard punchers with iron chins who even then can only win by sheer flukes or by unconventional means (like sickness, injury etc).

They need to have sledgehammer fists and a titanium chin even before success an really even be considered.

And Fury possesses neither of those qualities!

Sure Tyson has a chance... but that chance is low lmao

His chin isn't great. He's a big lardass, overrated speed, and realistically he really isn't much bigger than Wlad.

I'd even put my money on Wilder knocking this oaf out

Fury has many assets Wlad hasn't.

                    Height
                    Reach
                    Stamina
                    Endurance
                    Combos
                    Movement
                    Confidence
                    Higher work rate
                    Toughness
                    Inside ability
                    Adaptability

It's not as if Fury is in there contending with a Prime Ali, Tyson, Foreman or Lewis. He's just in there with a overly cautious stiff one dimensional, super chinny 40yr old.

                    I fancy his chances greatly.

It was similar in the Haye fight, though Haye has such bad balance he could never turn his movement into decent punching opportunities. Everything comes off the jab for Wlad.

Fury when he is in shape and disciplined has pretty good movement on the outside and he wont be bullied on the inside either. He can also jab and punch on the move which a lot of WK's opponents cant do.

The key for him is staying disciplined for all 12 rounds, if he can do that he has a pretty good chance IMO.

                      Big if though.

Very true what you said about Wlad's jab, his whole style and arsenal is centered around is jab. Having said that, he def has slowed down last few years, granted his age and being a big guy with a big frame takes alot more out of you. Hence the ridiculous amounts of clinches. He holds wayyyyy to much and for the most part gets away with it. Heres where I think Tyson can capitalize he cant led Wlad hold, must control the pace/tempo of the fight. Also his jab needs to be on point, frustrate Wlad. Make the "old" man look old.

On a side note I agree that Fury def hasnt faced anyone of Wlads caliber yet, and being hit by a Klitschko is a whole different ball game! Its a tough task, gonna be interesting to see where he ranks at the top level.
