Right, let me pose this to you. I respect you as poster, so just read what it is I have to say.

Think of everything science has learned thus far, simple stuff, that the Earth is not the center of the universe (as it was once believed) that the Sun even does not revolve around the Earth. Go further than that and you'll learn about the solar system, the galaxy, the universe, and as as far back as I don't know. . . 13.7 (or whatever it is) billion years is as far back as we can see, due to how fast light travels, we cannot see back any further because that light hasn't reached us yet, but we know the Universe started around there.

Think about if we were contempt in saying God did it. . . and we stopped at, ooo let's say the edge of the Galaxy, and settled with that as an answer. Scientists said to eachother "Okey, no need to do anymore research, we don't need to come up with an explanation for anything else, God did it".

So, are scientists able to fully explain the big **** at this moment in time? no. . . But it happened? well logically yes, as the Universe is not just expanding, but speeding up (measured with the doppler effect), so in theory if everything is expanding, like the surface of a balloon, if you were to rewind time, theoretically there'd be a moment in that time where everything was closer together.
So will the big **** be explained? Eventually as science progresses, but I ask you, what then? Will religious people say ask them to explain the next discovery? . . Is God an ever receding goalpost which will be at the hurdle of every discovery?.

Although the origin/cause to the big **** may or may not be discovered in my life time (I hope it is)

Moreover, if he believed in the tooth fairy what could you say? His belief in the tooth fairy inspired him to have a successful career.

Too many worthless people are making critiques on the lives on the people that have gone out and accomplished.

You should look up the word humility.
There is nothing at all humble in thanking your god for your success. What you are actually saying is that you are more worthy and more loved by your god than your opponent is. You are saying that you are more important to your god than all the people who were mistreated that day, who died terrible deaths from starvation or torture or abuse or from any other reason. They died because your god was busy helping you win your sporting event and making millions of dollars.

That is extremely self centered. I can think of nothing that is more self centered or self aggrandizing than that, actually.

And yes, you can add me to the group of people who have absolutely no belief or need for a belief in any god or superior beings. I kneel to no man or entity. Especially one that exists only in the feeble minds of those individuals who have been brainwashed and who are not strong enough to actually see reality.

Did you pray to the big man upstairs for your post to appear on this site?

Or was it science that made it possible when you clicked post reply?

Well again, we do not know because the light has not reached us yet. There is a map of what I think is called "The Known Universe" . . . But we know it is expanding because we can measure the distances between objects within the universe.
