Like i said believe in what you want,but how can all of this just create itself?

When you say all this? What do you mean exactly? We have seen how stars are formed, and if there is enough matter, an entire solar system can also form. We have learned how gravity works, and dark matter binds it. We even have theories on how the moon was formed. . . And how water appeared on earth.

Now, where things do get complicated is life and the building blocks. Unfortunately and obviously I am a scientist, or a biologist, so anything I say on the matter will most likely not be a strong enough case for how evolution began. I appreciate the world as much as the next person, albeit Christian, ******, Hindu. I may have come across fairly anti-religious in this thread, but believe me, the only problem I really have with religion is when people use it as a tool for war.

Despite being a non believer, even I can grasp the differences between someone who is a genuinely religious, and someone who uses it a as a very poor excuse for a self righteous cause. Those people are not religious and do not deserve to religion.

But what I really really hope before my time is up, is that we find life on another panet, weather it's one of Jupiter's moons (Iio) or one those super earths in another galaxy.

Science will explain the origin of life, or what life is or why it exists (from a physics standpoint) before it does how the universe sprang from nothing for no reason. How do I know? B/c we're already working on it. The former I mean we're working on (it has to do with entropy), the latter will likely continue to remain a total mystery.

Seems like a topic that could make it's own thread.

Given that the universe has been around for billion of years and that there are billions of galaxies outside of our own, there is certainly the probability that life either does exist somewhere else now or did exist or both. But I think it's more than likely that if other life does exist now we will have no meaningful way to reach them, or even if we did we may have no meaningful way to communicate with said life, so I don't expect such an experience will necessarily be all that positive other than the initial excitement over having found life outside of our planet.

I absolutely share this sentiment, though it is kind of a disappointing thing to acknowledge, ya know? It would be comforting if I could believe that we were all here for a reason, each destined to accomplish something or be part of something bigger than ourselves. But I feel like that's such an anthropocentric viewpoint - what are the odds that a few billion people on one planet occupying an almost insignificant portion of the universe, and during an almost insignificant portion of time that the universe has existed, have true value to the totality of existence? I personally believe that there may not be any true 'purpose' to life given to us, other than what we make of it.

All he does lately is talk about God, and say God bless, I mean okey. Sure you're a Christian I get it, but for the love of urm God, you don't have to thank God for every little thing in the world.

So yes, I'm an atheist so my views on religion are skeptical at best, but I do my best to respect people to believe in whatever it is they want to believe in (except for young earth creationists/and probably Scientology). However! You have to draw a line somewhere, I mean at what point do you stop crediting those that matter and assert that credit to God.
How many people have been healed by surgeons due to, let's say obesity. (There was actually a case I saw not too long ago about this) and the woman who was fair to say morbidly obese needed surgery otherwise, well you know.
She had plenty of help from people, moving and and the surgeons who operated on her.

I'm sure she did thank them, but she's also thanking God too?
. . . And I see Manny thanking God for everything he has, so many boxers do it, Floyd included. But surely the credit goes to the boxer who trains the hardest and has the desire to succeed. . . You can believe in God to an extent sure, but don't for a second give God more credit than it'd due, especially when in return you end up discrediting yourself.
