If Manny hadn't scored a knockdown in the third round of the second fight he would have lost on every scorecard. Manny only became the top P4P fighter after Floyd had retired. Anyone could look good against a severely weight drained De La Hoya, a coked up Ricky Hatton, and Cotto after he took plaster to the face and clearly lost to Clottey. Once Manny stepped back in the ring with a counter puncher he was forced to look ordinary again.
