It's not money when I can point out many examples of Haymon fighters turning down big money just so he wouldn't let his fighter fight on rival cards and rival networks. So no it's not money. The consistent theme is the power play involved. Either blow a fight out of the water to have full control or if someone else offers more money he restricts his fighters from taking it because again number 1 goal is him having full control.
And Haymon trying to overpay for mismatches and losing multi-millions doesn't mean HBO has to follow that dumb trend and try to outbid PBC. No business person would ever say lets follow a business plan that is failing and losing money. And PBC is only paying top dollar for low end fights. The biggest purses are NOT happening on PBC. They are happening on HBO, Showtime, overseas, PPV ect. So while the PBC top fighters are making good money fighting bums they are not making the big time money like the Stars on HBO (Cotto, Canelo, GGG, Klitscho ect) or the big money for the big fights they are constantly turning down. For example Khan has turned down a long list of big fights in house and especially with rival promoters to make decent money fighting bums with no chance of beating him. If it were about the money he would be fighting Brooks not Algeri for a fraction of that amount.
If I were Haymon I wouldn't of got myself kicked off HBO by doing shady stuff in the first place. That's not blackballing. He did it to himself and even now when multiple promoters have said HBO is will to allow his fighters on their network just to make these big fights happen Haymon is using tactics to avoid that from happening.Comment

I don't follow anyone but my own instincts, I'm not a fan of any promoter, they're all pieces of **** in truth but even amongst this company Haymon stands out as a particular devious ****.
And it's quite bizarre why anyone would defend some random guy who doesn't give a **** about them or the sport he's trashing in the first place, but it's interesting to have some weirdos like that.Comment
