i mean coming from the lady who asked for a purse bid publicly then turned it down twice with stephenson is hard to take serious at this point i dont believe a word she says its obvious he feels he can win one more fight then get u in a purse bid where he will make more money. its hard to fault him for that and it also gets him one more fight under his belt

Yes, that's almost as bad requesting a WBC purse bid vs. the WBC champion with a 50/50 split at that, being granted that purse bid, and immediately pulling out.
Duva should of ****** Arum's **** a bit better. Old man has a war chest. Duva is broke. B*tch took like a 20-year break from boxing until lucking into a Kovalev signing. **** that hag! She's robbed us of Kovalev-Stevenson and now Kovalev-Beterbiev.
HBO nuthuggers are such f*ggots.Comment

It's clearly a pathetic move by Haymon telling his fighter to turn down a shot at a championship and a big career payday. So his fighter will take less money for an eliminator fight instead? You ask why because he wants to force a purse bid which he knows if he over bids Kovalev can't agree to fight on any network other then HBO to strong arm him to vacate his belt. But Haymon is great for boxing right? Making fighters turn down money and championship fights to weasle and strong arm them into vacating SMH
No other promoter would ever advise his fighter to turn down a direct shot at the title to instead fight an eliminator fight to get a shot at the title. This some dirty scheming shyt.Comment

The lady has a point this time. I can see waiting to cash out Stevenson because he's at the end stages of his career, but Beterbiev should be jumping at this opportunity. The whole fasting excuse probably has some merit to it but that shouldn't stop him from taking the fight.Comment

That just shows she's not really a player in that... More like HBO's Secretary... That statement is a poor attempt to hide the truth about her negligible weight at higher levels...Comment

Yvon Michel is a shady promoter who always wants to take the lowest risks possible for his fighters. I applaud David Lemieux for leaving GYM that's the best decision he took for his career. If Lemieux was still with Michel he would still have no belt and would never be fighting Golovkin this fall.Comment

is the lineal 175 champ really being looked at as a killer for challenging a guy thats 9-0???? so the 9-0 wants to fight Kovalev but Kovalev is eager now?... in 3 more fights Beterbiev will be more than ready to whoop Kovalev, Kovalev trying to catch him green, catch him "slipppin", good move by BeterbievComment

again how is that haymons or his fighters fault? its not their fault kovalev will refuse in a purse bid that makes no sense blaming haymon for that it lies with duva and hbo thats the reality. the fighter could use another fight before fighting the krusher anyway it honestly makes total sense unless ur ok with duva pulling out of purse bids even tho hbo cant legally keep krusher from doing it. its about time people start calling out hbo as the problem instread of giving them a pass
This ain't about money he offered a title shot and like 2-3 times what he makes for fighting right now. If you don't see something wrong here you just got your tongue way up haymons behind and have an agenda. This is not what boxing should be about. Turning down a championship fight to use politics to win the championship by vacate instead of fighting the guy. SMHLast edited by bigdunny1; 08-05-2015, 10:35 PM.Comment

You sound dumb why do you need a purse bid when the champ is saying I will fight you right now and pay you top dollar? Instead they said no are not even denying the money offer is good, hell not even throwing out a counter offer. All to use politics to try and force the champ to vacate and win a belt that way.
