WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto is backing the position of his legal adviser, Gaby Peņagaricano, with respect to the ongoing negotiations to finalize a fight with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

The two sides have agreed on several points, but there is a conflict over the rematch clause.

Team Cotto or Team Canelo , What rematch clause? You have a mandatory challenge that was set 3 months back by time Canelo/Coto & GGG/Lemieux fight that will be 6 months into the mandatory , leaving 3 month for winners to fight each other so what's this rematch stuff about?

as a supporter, but current hater, of ggg I hope this fight does not happen..
fact of the matter is cotto will outbox the mess out of canelo...and after that ggg gets no credit for crucifying cotto...but if this fight does not happen ggg will get a canelo win in the next year or so when he moves up..lots of ppl wont beat canelo, and oscar will protect him, but cotto and GGG will..i hope ggg has first crack at it, bc im tired of having to defend yet bash his poor resume
