Yes, I think Ortiz will probably win by stoppage. It depends upon how fit and motivated Stiverne is.

Ortiz vs. Stiverne is an even matchup between two hard-punching fringe contenders.

Whoever wins will be a bona fide HW contender.
I have to disagree that they are fringe - this is a championship level fight (in todays HW). Ortiz is the sort of opponent Wilder should be taking on - Stiverne made excuses after he lost, but here he is acting more like a winner than Wilder is.

They both have something to prove in this fight.
Stiverne...that he is still a contender and was just dehydrated against Wilder.

Ortiz...Trying to erase the past. A loss for him will look bad. A win for him will look good.

As the main event for a paper championship yes. Not that impressive when you beat this guy for your "championship". The criticsm was more that he even had a belt in the first place and acting like beating him made Wilder an elite fighter. But as just a step up fight for young fighter to see where he is at in his development this is a great under card fight.

Ortiz hasn't beaten anyone remotely dangerous. He has a lot to prove. I don't know where people get the idea he is some serious threat. Long amateur career but he's 36 & stiverne is a huge step up. At least stiverne has beat austin & arreola twice. He also fought wilder & lost. This will either be ortiz coming out party or stiverne's reentry into the title picture. The loser is probably finished

Agreed I see both as naturalised contenders, fringe is guys like Ustinov, Dimitrenko and Thompson.
