I think they must have felt bad for Berto. Every time he's had a shot at facing Floyd, he blew it against Ortiz and Guerrero.

In the end i think they felt bad and give him the shot anyway. I used to coach a soccer team for little kids and we would give a kid a trophy each week for being man of the match. Towards the end of the season we would just give it to kids who were never good enough to win it, just so they weren't upset. It's the same situation as this.
