What helps is that fight fans will be there for the Box Fan Expo which will have a lot of legends and current fighters in attendance at the Convention Center. A lot more people will be interested in that than the card on September 12th.

I would imagine he does know he's fighting Floyd and has done for some time.

It'd be weird if Floyd picks Khan now. But if Khan doesn't take the fight, it's understandable.... A 5 week notice is just not enough to do a 4 and a 1/2 week training camp....

Maybe but there's obviously something going on behind the scenes for this fight not to have been made official by now.

Mayweather's FB face is posting the date is set and asking people to book tickets. Sound pretty solid to me. We all know most of Floyd's popularity/notoriety stems from his character and the date he fights on, he needs that built in fanbase and you get that on September 12th.
