And what have you been? A slob, behind his device, hoping that a fighter gets severely injured in the ring.

So you are saying that there should be different rules for different fighters? Say this wasn't Paulie's last fight and he decided to continue. Does that mean his next opponent should expect the fight to be stopped as soon as it becomes obvious that Paulie is going to lose or as soon as Paulie gets in trouble? That doesn't work. If you follow your way of thinking, any GGG fight should be immediately stopped after the first knock down. Provodnikov would never make it to the end of one of his fights as they would all be stopped as soon as he gets cut, same with Rosado. Those two might as well retire right now.

Same rules and same criteria have to apply to all. No exceptions.

Like i said you have to know the fighter you are reffing,Paulie was hurt and the fight was over..he even agreed on this. Paulie had no game changer and stumbled backwards across half the ring.....As far as GGG when he fights an A-class fighter we will see a different fight...and why would Ruslan and Rosado fights be stopped for cuts?? they fight even harder when cut

              People want knock outs.

Saving fighters before they get knocked out will kill this sport for sure.

I'm still pissed I didn't get to see paulie get laid out. But that's what PBC has become, glorified sparring matches.

One old guy breaks his ankle' and the other old guy gets saved by the ref, WTF am I even watching here?

I'm not blaming Haymon, I'm blaming the ref. I doubt that Haymon runs every little thing that happens in PBC and I certainly do not think he tells the refs what to do in the middle of a fight.

It was a crap stoppage. It would have been a crap stoppage if it was a HBO card or a Showtime card or a PBC card or even a BET/Roc Nation card. If I'm walking in a park and step in a pile of dog crap, I don't care what breed the ****ing dog was. Crap is crap.

And if boxing has sunk to the level where no one should ever be taking any risk or be getting hurt, maybe it is time to say good bye to the sport before someone figures out a way to make it 'no contact' or something or maybe boxers should be earning about the same as a McDonald's worker instead of making millions of dollars TO PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE IN THE RING.

I liked that stoppage. It lets Paulie leave with a little dignity and he doesn't have the last vision of him in the ring be him laying on the canvas crushed and defeated. Good show of respect by the ref to an aged vet on what's likely his last fight.

Refs have a lot to think about and it does depend on the situation. We've seen epic comebacks after fighters come back from seemingly catastrophic situations. Castillo-Corrales, JMM-Pac 1 etc.
