But he is a titlist and is expected to fight contenders and if no one is in Floyd's league, then there is no need for him to be fighting. So as long as he is fighting, Thurman is as qualified as any contender.

My point is about people not complaining about the Berto fight but complaining about Thurman wanting a shot. And you mentioned Thurman beating on his peers but if this is Mayweather's last fight or last 2-3 and you were him, you would call out Floyd too for the kind of money he would make. Mayweather is THE LOTTERY for any top welterweight.

Guess Pac was prime when he fought Floyd. Floyd stayed in the pocket versus Canelo tho. So clearly he picks and chooses who to fight and who to use movement against. But Thurman or nobody else can move around other than Floyd. Stop it "bru"

I'm not completely sure. But personally, I think most people that don't have a problem with Floyd-Berto are folks that have basically already dismissed Floyd as an active and relevant fighter. If you're a fan of his, you'll watch his lil victory lap in Sept and be done with him. But he isn't relevant to anything that's happening now, or in the future in the sport of boxing. Wish these fighters would do the same. May generate some better match-ups because everyone won't be angling for a Floyd fight.

That's exactly how I feel. He's done. His time us up. The sad part is these new generation fighters are content to sit there waiting for him to fight them like he has to or he even should. Floyd could retire tomorrow and his legacy is already paved. These guys need to start going their own path. The **** is pathetic.
