Thurman presents no problem. Too basic to trouble Floyd.

Atleast Berto can take a beating.

Everyone at WW is levels below Floyd.

what i get out of this is that spence is willing to fight a top welter unlike khan who wants to skip over everybody and fight algieri to get a shot at mayweather jr

        4) being the most deserving welter, when not one welter has made an effort to sign two good back-to-back opponents..... means absolutely nothing, and will not land you a Mayweather payday, and nor should it

Thurman is just another welter, who has done little of note recently.
You TOTALLY missed the point. The fact is, I am talking about who people think deserves a shot more than Thurman and a poll would prove there is not some long list of others. Thurman has earned the shot as much as anyone. If no one has made the effort then does that mean no one should fight Floyd???? If that's the case, he can retire yesterday. If some fighters have earned it, then Thurman's name is in the top 3 who have earned it. Simple.

Don't know what Thurman is worried about. He's not the one who picks who he fights anyway. It's Haymon. He was given Diaz, Bundu, Guerrero, Collazo without any objection. What's the problem now?

thats only half true the fighters still have to agree no different then other managers and promoters the contracts everyone posted are the same ones every manager and promoter write up but the fact is seems like all these guys who like to say they are being avoided have excuses why they cant fight the ones who are willing

and another thing people can say floyd is ducking thurman all they want because he wants him to fight spence but the reality is mayweather knows if thurman beats spence or any other fighter like khan porter that makes mayweather vs thurman way more profitable

Berto taking a beating does not present a problem, it presents a beating. You aren't going to find one person on this planet who thinks Berto is a better opponent than Thurman or the better matchup no matter how much you spin it.

Maybe he should remove the pawns before going for the king.

I don't know why Thurman is acting with such incredulity; you would almost think he has done something wonderful with his career. He's not Mayweather or Pacquiao, he is not Cotto or Bradley, he is not Canelo or Garcia. He is a fighter who is at the bottom of the list; if Mayweather Jr. is to be criticised for not taking on a challenging fight, it isn't because he didn't fight Keith Sometimes Thurman.

Thurman is not in Mayweathers league! Thurman should be calling out Pacquiao who is in his league.

But he is a titlist and is expected to fight contenders and if no one is in Floyd's league, then there is no need for him to be fighting. So as long as he is fighting, Thurman is as qualified as any contender.
