is there such thing as a "good" brawsler???

there are 'good' boxer-punchers and there are medieocre/avarge ones and there are bad ones

just like there are 'good' pressure fighters, medieocre ones, and bad ones

now, my question is is there such thing as a "good" brawler?if so, who are they?

imo the best brawler i can think of is my man brandon riose and i say that because he has underrated inside game and jab but hes still a brawler

are there tiers to the brawler style or is it a one type thing??

p[lease keep the bias and hatred out,thx

Good brawlers? Ever heard of Marciano, LaMotta and Graziano? Heck nowadays we have Provodnikov, who is very limited but has given good competition hell throughout his career. As you already mentioned Rios, Hatton in days gone by, Maidana, who gave the p4p best an almost defeat. Where ever there is boxing, there are good brawlers.

Maidana is a pure brawler....brawlers are by definition reliant upon pressure. They don't exist in a vacuum.

Just off the top of my head, it's difficult to think of many more brawlers on the world level.

Isn't brawlers are a type of pressure fighters? I mean pressure fighter is the big category and brawler is a sub category in it.

Some guys who get cited as brawlers are actually more just inside-pressure guys. La Motta being the biggest example. When i think brawler i think of a guy with looping, wide or unorthodox technique who comes forward and looks to do damage, Mayorga is a classic example.

Maidana is definitely a brawler imo, albeit one that has refined his game in recent years, still a brawler at heart though.

Hagler went from a boxer to a brawler against Hearns

He looked pretty damn good to me as a brawler that night. What do you think?

Shane Mosley's "power boxing" style is very brawler-like. A speedy slugger.

Of course there is/were some good brawlers, as much as there is some horrible "slicksters" like Broner or guys from TMT gym, Alexander, Berto and many others. Foreman, Bowe and Liston are exemples of great brawlers. Now I don't like brawlers very much presonally, I prefer swarmers by far.

Talking about today's brawlers, the best known examples are Provodnikov, Maidana and Rios, which aren't at the very top of boxing.

I'd like to know how would you guys explain Lemieux and Beterbiev styles? Are they brawlers or swarmers? I haven't seen too much of Lemieux to judge it for sure, while I guess Beterbiev is a swarmer, but has a very low working rate for a swarmer, also his footwork isn't that great, he should get better at cutting off the ring.
