    Not a bad fight that.

Not so much that he's well connected, just a fairly notable enough name that also happens to be incredibly cheap. Hearn simply can't afford big names in the division and Haymon will only do in-house fights unless there's a purse bid involved.

How can anyone say this would be a good fight? Maybe as a Brook chowcase, yes, but apart from that Chaves has too many flaws. Close fight against Rios, didn't do much against Bradley. Bradley could load up big and hit Chaves too often, what will Brook do to him with straight punches (which have more power than Bradley's)?
The only reason Chaves gets fights are because he is so cheap....

Yes Devon lost to Khan, but he is still a respectable name to have on ur resume. Brook and Devon also have history together.

Chaves does absolutely nothing for Brook

Kell could have fought Chaves in May, but they went and fought Gavin instead

Brook wasted a year, could have made his mark, but chose to take soft touches and boxers with no credibility.

I guess he has to keep the Khan dream alive, cant take unnecessary risks
As expected, you slate Brook's opponent and say that the guy he didn't fight is the better fight.

If he'd have fought Alexander, all we'd hear is "Brook is fighting Khan's leftovers".

Let's see who Khan chooses next. Running out of pillow punchers at 147.

Chaves is a cheap opponent and has some name recognition and credibility. Decent fight

Maybe not Bradley, Thurman and Garcia yet - not like Haymon would send them over anyway. He did offer Rios two 7 figure purses though.

Chaves will probably count as Brook's mandatory and only entitled to a certain split anyway.

Devon is indeed Khans leftovers, but still a respectable name.

Youve already gone on record and said Brook should not waste his time with Chaves..

                    Exciting fight!

                    Chavez is a solid competitor.

Please quote me properly, I said he shouldn't have fought him in May in case he got cut or injured as Chaves is a dirty fighter.

Like I said, no matter who Brook would have fought, you'd have slated the opponent.

You were on record as saying it was going to be Bundu or Van Heerden...
