It's obvious why Whitaker wasn't "beloved". That was because most casuals didn't like his fighting style. He also used a lot of movement and had little power which gave the perception he was a "runner". It's not right, but that's what it is.

With Floyd, his outside the ring persona is the reason for the hate. Also his style isn't well received like Pernell.

Not sure why about RJJ. Dude was quick, had power, and was very exciting in the ring.

SRL was very beloved. He had an entertaining style, very charismatic personality.
