In all honesty and from personal experience I am 100% confident and sure that I could knock any guy out/down in a "street fight" who has no martial arts training. Even if they had been in 100 "street fights" it wouldn't matter. Give me 60 seconds and you're going night night...

unless a street fighter pulls out a weapon. most street fights end in a minute (either gktfo or too tired to continue). a boxer would probably kill a dude. especially a drunk dude.

Its not super useful. In Boxing theres a ref and a lot of rules. Youre a lot more comfortable throwing your punches knowing a knife or kick or beer bottle isnt coming your way from behind. Ive had 2 street fights in the last 6 years and they were both scary. Plus I broke my hand because it wasnt wrapped etc. The only real help is that you only need one shot. It really sucks though id much rather have ufc training if I was a troublemaker

#1 Completely agree that on the ground training/MMA training would be the best overall
#2 You shouldn't be fighting anyone knowing that you could be ambushed by one of his friends or an onlooker. Even if you had MMA skills.
Even still nobody with boxing skills is getting taken out by a bar random in a straight up 1 on 1 fight unless there is a massive size disparity. If you do then you're training at the wrong place.Last edited by Biolink; 11-09-2016, 12:59 PM.

erm its not really that great. Saying that a pro boxer is going to be able to whoop most guys of similar size, especially if they throw punch, or if you manage to throw a combo before they are set. But if someone bull rushes you and you havent got your guard up your in trouble. And to the guys acting tough on here who do a bit of boxing, no, no your not invincible, all it would take it for a bigger man to grapple you, or you to trip up, and then your on the floor and your boxing skill means absolutely nothing. Randy couture v james toney tells you everything you need to know about how useful boxing is in a 'fight'.

MMA had lots of rules,if guy takes you down you can bite him or pull something from pocket(i allways have little knife in pocket),headbutt etc,as i said everything can help but all what count in fight with no rules is how vicious you are.
