you always have a knife? wtf lol. I was just thinking of it as like a scrap that happens outside every nightclub. Yeah its not an amazing example cause they are two pro athletes, but it shows that boxing is completely useless when you are on the ground. But all im saying is if a bigger man is grabbing you by the shirt or whatever, a philly shill and being able to do a flashy combo is hardly that useful. FRom what people are describing on here doesnt sound like street fights im familiar with, usually it goes pretty much straight to the floor, and they are punching whilst grappling, which doesnt happen in boxing. In fact one of the examples i saw was of a good level local fighter against some random guy, he didnt even get a chance to throw a punch cause the guy headbutted him and it went straight to the ground. Again i jsut think it comes down to people trying to act hard on a forum lol, as one of the other guys said, learn BJJ or something if you want to win every fight

Let's try to be realistic. The average person in a street fight, doesn't know how to fight. Ofcourse if you have an edge in boxing, even just going to the local gym and sparring/training as an amateur but never competed you have an upper hand.

Unless there's an obvious size discrepancy and some big guys do know how to use it, then for the most part you'd be fine.

Most brawls is finished in couple secounds, first thing someone will do is try to punch you,not wrestle, even if he wrestle you dont need to train some brazilian **** to do damage wwhile being take down as i said bite headbutt ,use weapon etc ,so if you can just KO someone its much saver,im not saying that you should use some boxing masterclass philly shell ,just feint jab and throw right and its over.

Yea i use it for example to open a beer, not to stab ppl,but if he wants to hurt me,i will stab him.
maybe some of them act tough, wwhat im saying is that boxing can help you.

#1 Completely agree that on the ground training/MMA training would be the best overall

#2 You shouldn't be fighting anyone knowing that you could be ambushed by one of his friends or an onlooker. Even if you had MMA skills.

Even still nobody with boxing skills is getting taken out by a bar random in a straight up 1 on 1 fight unless there is a massive size disparity. If you do then you're training at the wrong place.
Bottom line is avoid it. Why hang out at bars anyway. Where I live the streets are a bar. Yeah youre right im not gonna get taken out by some biker or college kid etc Ill hurt them real bad like the one i broke my hand on...but Boxing is way more controlled and it just doesnt translate over very well. Then again thays probably a person to person thing. Im not aggressive or a troublemaker amd dont like street fights but someone like Adrian Broner or Jermain Taylor could VERY easily kill someone in a bar right.

Yea but that's not the question though. No one is saying start a fight, this is already hypothetically beyond that point, you are already trading shots in the corner of the bar like Castillo/Corrales.

Then of course it helps. Any boxer who has competed and had real training and say 100 or more rounds of sparring against other legit boxers will completely wreck random street fighters in a one up face to face fight. Probably within the first 5 seconds. Even weak hitting boxers like Paulie Malignaggi. Ive seen it happen. When I was a teenager i knew a pro boxer from my gym in Phoenix named Geno Thoos. I saw him literally cave in 2 gang ****ers faces at once in a gas station fight. The whole thing took about 10 seconds.

Rifle when elk hunting in bear country - useful or not? Obvious answer is obvious...

                    of course it is.

boxing is the most foundational form of fighting in the western world.

                    mma is a close second.

a combination of boxing/mma or some technical knowledge of any of the two will come in handy in any physical altercation.

Most of todays soft beta libtard social media born attention whoring cucks dont know how to fight.

Any technical muscle memory knowledge from either sport will get the job down.

With the election of donald trump,

Squabbin Skills is needed now more than ever.....

you better tool up you ****** beta neo ******* cucks.

What kind if question is this? Of coutse boxings effective. 90% of fights have dudes throwing hands at each other.

A pro boxer will 9 times out of 10 beat the living **** out of an untrained fighter. Have you seen that video of the pro boxer knocking out 4 guys back to back to back to back?
