Wilder? Who hypes Wilder? Most users even hate him here.
Rigondeau? I would argue with that.
Even if you like Golovkin better than Rigondeaux you can tell that Golovkin is objectively more overrated. Start from the fact that Rigo's best win Donaire is better than Golovkin's best win which is Murray. I think that's pretty much a fact, don't see many people around who would claim otherwise. Now, compare the two men's hype either here or in the media and tell who is more overrated.
I'm not salty or anything because you said Rigo, I just arguing I think logically.
Donaire was a big win.. I can say it was better than fighting Murray sure. But it's been a while since then and who has he fought recently? Agbeko and Kokietgym are not on par with Geale or Monroe Jr imho. Amagasa's relative standing on the otherhand is debatable.
I hadn't had Ward on there for a while because of inactivity so now that he is back I guess Cotto is just out of the top 5 on making my list. He's top 10 p4p easily in my book, anything else is just hating. Win or lose he's accomplished more and his record isn't as pretty because of the stiff competition he's always faced.
IMO is switch around your list and take out Lomachenko and Ward out of overrated and add Danny Jacobs and beterbiev.
Lomachenko and Ward are the real deal so is Cotto but I think for Cotto Middleweight is to much.
But Danny Jacobs is just a knock out waiting to happen.
Being underrated involves the aspect a person is often over looked. Jacobs is the real deal in my view, reminds me a lot of Bradley but with real power. The man can box and entertain. Beterbiev is a monster and overlooked. Much like Kovalev up to the Cleverly fight, calling Beterbiev garbage is calling a young Kovalev garbage. He is a future Title Holder.
Wise of Ward, he hasn't done anything reminiscent of his day of the super six and that includes making Dawson come down. The same ideals aren't seen with Golovkin but pressed with the idea of greatness and tolerance with Ward. I don't.
Cotto, hasn't had a meaningful win since Mosley. Often loses his biggest fights and loses the fights many thought he shouldn't have but did. His most notable win is against a broken down fighter who was once great.
Lomachenko has done what exactly? Lost his first title fight but wins a vacant title against Russell (in what so many would call a bore fest) and hasn't defended his belt against any notable opponent. Yet he continues to throw out big names and later nothing happens because of a clause that could not be met (often by Lomochenko)... I do not see greatness in that quality.
Dude has quick hands and quick feet.. But he gets caught during exchanges. I understand it happens, but people act like he's an untouchable god. Plus he's 34 years old with only one good win and people are putting him above Pacquiao already. The hell??
Underrated - Abner Mares.
His quick combinations and accuracy overwhelms dudes quick. He has the amateur experience to lean back on and has fought some pretty decent names. He got caught during the Gonzalez fight, and instead of clinching he kept trying to exchange. Live and learn. I got Mares by easy UD against Leo Santa Cruz.
