You mean Canelo, the guy who weighs more than Golovkin in the ring? Get real. I see your agenda a mile away.
Ortiz weighed more than Mayweather in the ring, didn't make him better.

Klitchsko and Mayweather have proved themselves over and over, so they're untitled to soft touches.

Golovkin hasn't done jack ****, yet receives unnecessary hype - which is used to justify a false belief that he's an A-side, and leaves us missing out on great fights ala Ward vs Golovkin because of this. It's fans like you that have inflated his ego.

Well yeah, he doesn't. He's not the manager or promoter.

Of course he can make demands. The guy who's a 40-1 underdog can make demands. Thing is when you make demands you are lowering the odds the fight will get made when you are making those demands vs guys who are your peers or maybe even your superiors in the sport right now. And there is no debating GGG has some big upside potential, but that big upside potential doesn't come into play until he's fighting the Canelo's, Cotto's or Ward's. Therefore at his age & his potential to beat or worse case be competitive with the best out there, he might consider making less demands for the next fight with the gamble on winning or getting his name out there even more by fighting his most relevant competitors.

This is a similar situation to Rigo right now. Rigo is a lil older so he needs to bend even more to make fights & he even has a notable win, but he's kinda too good for his own good in many ways & he can either by "the guy" vs people few or no one cares about to end his career or he can give a lil to make big fights to make some $$$ & to enhance his legacy to hopefully parlay more big fights. GGG, although mostly his team, need to take this same type of attitude with making fights until he does have a notable win over a Canelo or Cotto & he can start making A side demands cuz people wanna fight him so bad for the payday.

Nobody wanted anything, except for Ward -- who said he will fight Kovalev IF he gets Golovkin first... Ward (as delusional as he is) thinks he can make other peoples' career schedules... Golovkin was mocking Ward: by asking the 164 weight, GGG showed Dre the way... up, I suspect...

Being better wasn't the argument you put forth. Stick to the point you initially made.

So now the 164 lbs catchweight is negotiating?

But the bigger Froch & Chavez Jr at 168?

                      A side doe!
