the best thing he can do is reassert his position at the top of the super middleweight food chain and be patient. if he begs for the fight right now then, as you say, he will be forced to make concessions in negotations; if he waits until golovkin has nowhere else to go, then the fight can take place on his terms

Exactly. What they really mean is guys who can lift GGG's income status are making him wait to get a fight and the Gullible Groupies do not like it.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 07-29-2015, 01:37 PM.Comment

Ok,let me lay this out real simple. GGG has two fights lined up. Both of them are unification fights, and both of them are ppv fights. That means that he's booked until mid-2016. On the other hand, ward has nothing lined up,and he barely broke 300k views on his last fight, which was held at 172. So what is ward going to do? Is he going to wait a whole year for a 160 lb fighter to move up 8 lbs for him,or is he going to man up,move up 3lbs and face kovalev? Kovalev has been calling his ass out,and the Krusher has said that ward is the perfect ppv fight for him,so what's the problem? Or is ward happy fighting catchwieght fights against bums on BET,and he'd rather call out smaller fighters?Comment

ggg signs to fight someone else then 2 days later ward comes out saying he wants the fight. he's a clown. ggg has 2 ppv fights lined up, ward has zero fights lined up even on BET. hbo doesn't want anything to do with him unless he raises his level of opposition which he has refused. he has also refused to go up to 175 even though he wants ggg to come up to 168. the difference is ggg has options at 160 and ward doesn't or at least he's not willing to fight anyone good judging by who he has tried to fight the last 4 years. even if you think ggg is ducking a guy not even in his division, you can't possibly defend ward a guy who is ducking everyone in his own division.Comment

That would enhance his legacy more than beating Lemieux and Andy Lee... He'd also earn probably as much money facing Ward as he would facing those two guys. He doesn't want it, it's that simple.Comment

He should look in the other direction at Kovalev. GGG clearly does not want the fight and his team does not feel that they can win. Plus his fans don't want it at 168 because they don't believe he can win at that weight either. All that will happen is that Ward will win like everybody expects him too and excuses will be made that GGG was too small.
A win over Kovalev would do much more for SOG at this stage.

GGG seems booked solid for two fights, not sure what Ward (or any of y'all for that matter) could reasonably expect from him.
I am looking forward to GGG/Lemieux and GGG/(Cotto/Canelo) personally, so while I am excited about the idea of GGG/Ward I'm in no rush to see it. 2016 would be fine, if 3G's team grows some nuts in time and if Ward doesn't move up to 175 by then.Comment
