Perfect? Is this what Boxing has come to, fighters getting decisions they dont deserve and being marketed as all time greats because of it? Garcia and Mayweather have both legitimately lost fights. How much more money does Haymon throw down the toilet getting this kind of "press" for his Milli Vanilli's?
Even if both have lost, which they didnt, Ur guys Khan and Pac couldnt pull it off and both have decisive losses to Garcia and Mayweather. At least you hold them to a higher standard then Pac and Khan, so props on that.
Garcia has a lack of respect because of the opponents he's picked, gift decisions he's received & the conditions of some of his latest fights. After the close Mathysse fight, he got surprised by a skilled and game Herrera yet still got the gift decision. His next fight was clearly a cherry pick to rebuild his confidence in an undersized Salka, while Garcia himself came in heavy. Of course he destroyed the poor little guy. After that, he fought Peterson, who was a champion in his same weight class. Yet the fight took place @ a catchweight and for no title. It was a close fight that resulted in a split decision, but we hear no talk of a rubber match. Instead, Danny's fighting a light-hitting, all-but-retired Malignaggi, who just came off a devasting stoppage loss. If you want respect Danny boy, you're going to have to earn it.
He has look like he has been declining since the Matthysse fight. Lets see if the weight will really help him. They think that they picked a some what safe opponent. Depending on what Paulie shows up this might be another long night for Garcia.
IF he wins this fight he has to step up the competition in order to get in the big picture
Got schooled by Herrera, then fought 75-ranked feather fisted flyweight at catch weight, then got whooped by Peterson. Now he is fighting feather fisted, brain damaged, shot to **** Paulina Maliggnagi. Fighting for respect doe!
Peterson was sleeping for 8 rounds, wakes up, lands a couple good shots and he won?.. Lamont is a superior boxer i acknowledge that but Danny was doing all the scoring. It was a pretty clear win.
'The momentum shift created the illusion that Garcia deserved the first loss of his career, which tends to happen when the underdog finishes strong and is the fresher of the two by fight’s end.'
In other words, when the underdog actuallly wins.
Give some proper credit to Herrera please. I come here for quality articles.
