Perfect? Is this what Boxing has come to, fighters getting decisions they dont deserve and being marketed as all time greats because of it? Garcia and Mayweather have both legitimately lost fights. How much more money does Haymon throw down the toilet getting this kind of "press" for his Milli Vanilli's?

He doesn't get respect because none of his big wins was convincing, I am sure Khan beats him in a rematch, Matthysse may lose again because he is basically a mediocre boxer, but he loses to at least 10 names in welterweight devision.

Garcia loses to Khan, 41-year-old Marquez, Pacquiao, Mayweather, Bradley, Provodnikov, Devon Alexander, Maidana,....

danny garcia is far from perfect.he lost to herrera and peterson.garcia is a manufactured fighter and he will lose to any decent fighter at welterweight that's if he has the balls to move all the way up.

I like garcia but he hasnt done anything since hes been at the top of light welter. He has just gotten lazy. I duno how many pointless fights he wants but fighting paulie isnt the answer he is shot to **** and has no power = no credit at all. I know hes just taking a name and trying the weight but even a fresher contender would of been better than this fight. And i like garcia!

now that hes at 147 i want to see him in against khan again and broner they shouldve already made these fights, pbc needs better matchmakers, garcia signed a deal with the devil, peterson beat him and herrera beat him. paulie is a weak fight, he doesnt have the power to keep danny off him, were going to see malignaggi get a porter style beat down if garcia is the same fighter he was when he beat matthysse

Didn't look good against Peterson or Herrera, and picked fcking Rod Salka. Comon bro, the word perfect is beyond undue here. But he's young and theres lots of quality opposition in 147 for him, so there is still time.

Oh please with this ****. They were big wins, and they were as convincing as they should need to be. Khan was doing well and then starting late in the third he was getting his ass handed to him over and over until Kenny Bayless spared his soul. Matthysse had his moments, including that brutal shot that sent Danny's mouthpiece flying out, but still lost fairly decisively I'd say.

matthysse would have won that fight on the cards if the ref didn't rule a foul a knockdown. garcia has had a lot of help throughout his young career from refs and judges to get where he is. most established fighters have a dubious fight or 2 but already he has theophane, matthysse, herrera, peterson. he's the definition of a pampered a-side fighter. he's so pampered that they created a monster. they can't match him tough because he will lose so the cherry picks continue. eventually he will be sacrificed but this period of his career is utterly worthless watching as he collects big paychecks against bums. good for him i guess?

What kind of journalism is that? Calling a guy that got a couple gift decisions perfect? Shake my head.

Just look at his family and how the Garcia family acts, that guy will maybe get respect from the scum of society, but otherwise tough luck.

Danny's problem is simple. Prior to the Herrara fight he was on top of the world getting respect from fans and one of the top guys people wanted to see Mayweather. Then he takes a fight that was supposed to be just a easy showcase for the fans in puerto rico. Instead he looks terrible most feel he lost the fight and rather then give Herrera a rematch to erase the perception he says he is moving to 147 and not going to fight Herrara again. But instead of moving to 147 or giving a rematch he gets horrible advice from his management and fights Salka. Unranked lightweight at a catchweight no less in one of the worse mismatches in recent memory. Then he fights Peterson again at catchweight a fight not many fans wanted in the first place since he had already been KO'd by Matthysee and he looks bad again and many people feel he lost that fight too. Then instead of granting a rematch to Herrera or Peterson or facing a top guy at 147 he fights light fisted Paulie who is coming off a long layoff (was in semi retirement) after a brutal loss.

Bad performances and terrible advice in fight selections is why despite no losses his rep has fallen off big time from where it was just 2 years ago
