Every halfway decent fight is treated like some super matchup that needs to be built up.

Then you factor in how easy it is to duck these days, robberies, and the general bull**** that happens in the ring, and yeah, being a boxing fan sucks a lot of the time. We're ****** to put up with it.
    Well said.

Sure, the top guys might only fight a couple times a year, but if you're following the sport that doesn't matter.
Very true. A friend of mine once told me I'd be better off being a fan of football (soccer) because your team is constantly playing matches for the majority of the year...I replied by saying something basically like, yeah but that is a sport where you are expected to be supporting one team and pouring your support into one aspect in that respect, with boxing you can watch and support whoever you want. Your main guys might not be on all the time, but you can give your support to any old fighter you wanted too on any night... I went on to win the debate not long after that!

WTF, it sucks. They should fight 4-5 times a year, that would be AWESOME.
You make it seem like you're a boxer fan. Not a boxing fan as a whole.

There is a lot of ****ty boxing politics so it can be tough but between getting Floyd/Pac and a handful of other promising fights for the fall it could be a lot worse.

boxing is bull**** at the moment. the best solution i can think of is to merge the four major world title organisations, and then for the new organisation to get ruthless with enforcing mandatory title challenges and eliminators, and if anyone declines a mandated bout then they should be severely punished in the rankings. but the rankings couldn't be as arbitrary as they are now

Boxing has to be the most frustrating sport to be a fan of.
