I agreed with what soneone said earlier this week that fighters should take short(er) money, get exposure, look good, and then make big money.

but hes the one getting punched in the face so more power to him.

I was reading that Russell Wilson turned down 22 million a year....thats how insane athlete salaries have become.....insane

Very good fight!! If they could reach a deal its very likely a co-main to cotto/canelo or Ggg/lwmieux...

This isnt the first time hes pulled the "money has to be right" thing. I also took a hard look at his resume and its absolutely garbage. I think hes been trending downwards as far as opposition goes while Estrada has been trending up. I also think he would win the rematch. Roman is still a great fighter though, I just also think highly of Estrada and its unfair that Roman wont get paid what he truly deserves.

It seems Gonzalez is more interested in fighting faded fighters for less money.grow a pair and fight viloria!

How can you not like Roman? The guy is an absolute beast, but I hate when fighters say "I'm ready for ___ IF the money is right". It almost always leads to not fighting said fighter. Roman needs to lock horns with Viloria, Estrada, or Ruenroeng to help boost the GGG/Lemeiux card...preferably Viloria.

He is not fighting 8 round stay busy fights against washed up never wasses. Viloria acts like he's scared he'll get hurt before he can get another payday.

Viloria is 34 and hasn't beaten anyone with a pulse in nearly three years. Doesn't he fit the description of a "faded fighter?" Rather see him fight Estrada, Inoue, Ioka or even Reveco
