Have any of you every disrespected a fighter in person?

So, I was recently in Vegas and got a chance to see Mayweather train like 5 ft. in front from me at his gym, crazy; and then I saw Marco Huck at a Magic Shop inside Planet Hollywood resort, talked to him for a bit, was drunk as ****, but he was cool.

Anyway, just saw that article on Ortiz, and am assuming someone disrespected him regarding his boxing career.

So, my question have any of you guys ever trash talked a pro fighter, face to face? And I mean a top dude, not necessarily any pro fighter.

Only documented one I can think of is when this dude is trying to get Oscar's signature, but then he's like "Marquez is gonna win, he's not gonna quit like De La Hoya," pretty brutal.

Nope but If I ever see Bernard Hopkins, I'm violating him.

I was hitting on a chick in a nightclub on St.Patrick's day earlier this year, and Tyson Fury turned up. We were all really wasted and at some point her and Tyson struck up a conversation and began dancing together...
A while later i managed to drag this girl away from him, and things were going well until him and his buddy approached us. Initially i thought i'd made a grave error, but he shook my hand and said "i could get any girl in here i wanted... So i'll leave this one to you". We had a bit of a chat about Hughie's recovery from his illness etc. , then parted ways. Really nice guy.

Na, it's all fun and games when you call professional athletes bums on the internet but in real life I'd hope most people respect guys that get punched in the head to put food on their families plates. Especially if you've ever boxed before.

One time I was sitting ringside for Rahman-barrett in 2005.. It was a don King card so alotmof his fighters were sitting ringside including lamon brewster and chris byrd, both paper champs at the time.. Brewster was cool as hell and when we asked when he was going to fight klitchko,brewster just smiled laughed and did the johnny manziel money gesture with his hand.. Shortly afterwards chris byrd walked right past us, and being boxing fans we were all excited and yelling "chris Byrd, chris BYRD, CHRIS BYRD" and dude gave us the cold shoulder and literally walked right past us,,, I had to keep it real and shout "that's why you ain't got no fans chris Byrd". This did get his attention and he turned back smiled and gave us a thumbs up,seemingly feeling like an idiot for being a prick to us.. True story

Odd Chris Byrd is supposedly such a devout christian.

When Hector macho camacho was in michigan we had the same Dr. This was in 2002. I was a young boxer who thought I was as good as the pros. I got Hector to spar with me and was given a cold hard dose of reality. When I would punch at Hector in front of me, by the time my punch left my hand Hector would be on the side or in back of me. Now mind you he was really retired at this point. He wouldn't hit me but he touched me several times as if to say "you know I could have punched the **** outta you doc" I never boxed again after that and took Hector and his girlfriend out to lunch with me and my wife several times. He could have really hurt me if he had been the azz hole people say he was. I loved Hector and my wife thanked him for not beating the **** out of my arrogant azz. He laughed and said "doc you told her"? I said yeah man and we laughed. I cried like a baby when he was murdered. Im friends with Jessie Paul brother of Jimmy Paul and Danny mad dog Paul. So I saw them a lot. Being from Detroit, I saw James tony, oba carr, and a lot of boxers that didn't become household names. I never thought to diss these dudes and gave them a ton of respect. They gave it back. Pro boxers will kill a average joe with ease. Trained kills untrained all day. Some of you cats that are critical of some pros have no clue.

The Macho man was my main fighter back in '86-'87, the guy was lightning fast, liked to cut his hands loose and was defensively pretty sound, especially while on his bike. Rosario kinda beat the slickness out of Camacho though in their bout, Hector was never the same fighter after that bout in my opinion.

I fought out of Detroit way back when. Jesse Paul worked with me for a bout while my trainer was in the hospital. Jesses one cool cat as a person and slick with his style in the ring. You could see the results in Imari, that kid worked his ass off while I was around him. Good people, the Pauls.
