A lot of fighters that you meet will be the most grounded and humble athletes that you'll ever encounter.

And then there's James. But at least the guy could fight.........

Me and my cousin loved it when he fought the huge guys like Golata, mccline and would open up some 6-7 punch combos after he tired them
His domination of tua was really impressive. To this day I've never seen tua as uncomfortable as he was when Chris was hitting him with those body shots late. Great fighter.

I was ringside at a fight card in Vegas, it was during the early undercard.

Al Bernstein and Paulie Malignaggi were a few feet away from me, there was virtually no one else around there. I acknowledged Bernstein with a smile of recognition, then Paulie looked at me smiling as if he expected me to want a photo with him or at least say hello, but I ignored him.

The truth is, I've never liked Paulie as a fighter and I wasn't going to respect a boxer in person who I called "Paulie Malifaggi" on here a few years ago, it would be phony and inconsistent.

I'm glad to see that somebody appreciated Byrd besides me.

              You're right......... a great fighter.

Watching the smaller and immensely 'weaker' fighter dominate the much larger men with pure skill and finesse was a pleasure to watch for me.

About 15 years ago when I was 13 I got an autograph from Brock Lesnar at a mall while wearing an Undertaker shirt. So yeah, I'm kinda a bamf.

Ive met a few. Tyrell Biggs, Tommy Morrison, Francois Botha and a three or four others I cant recall their names now. One was driving a car service for strip clubs in Vegas, lol. I cant remember the name of the guy I met in Vegas. he fought for a world title and was talking about a coming back. I want to say he was from Dominican Republic or maybe Puerto Rico, welter wieght or Jr. Middleweight I think. All were cool as hell except Botha, he was a snarling ******* but it could have been an off night for him.

I wouldnt talk smack to any of them. One I have a lot of respect for any man who can make a living at this game at a professional level and two while Im 48-0 (48 KO) on the skreet, Im pretty sure even Paulie Malignaggi would hand me my ass in lightining fast fashion.

Oh yea, The fighters heights are grossly exaggerated Im sure most of you know. Botha might have been 5'10" he is listed at 6'2". Morrison might have been 6'0" he is listed at 6'2". Biggs was probably closer to what he is listed at, if memory serves he was a little taller than me.

Disrespected a professional fighter? No. Never. As a non-fighter I would never do that. I respect all fighters.

Brewster was cool as hell and when we asked when he was going to fight klitchko, brewster just smiled laughed and did the johnny manziel money gesture with his hand.. Shortly afterwards chris byrd walked right past us, and being boxing fans we were all excited and yelling "chris Byrd, chris BYRD, CHRIS BYRD" and dude gave us the cold shoulder and literally walked right past us,,, I had to keep it real and shout "that's why you ain't got no fans chris Byrd". This did get his attention and he turned back smiled and gave us a thumbs up,seemingly feeling like an idiot for being a prick to us.. True story
You come across as the **** in that situation. You expected to have another individual give you time out of their day, when they owed you nothing and could have had a million of other things on their mind; when Byrd found out you were hurt, he turned around and gave you a positive gesture.
