They want to keep that retirement angle for this PPV. Everybody involved knows Floyd will fight again. I'll be shocked if he doesn't headline the opening of the new MGM arena.

Showtime will bid whatever. Floyd doesn't need them to do that now that he's got the attention of the parent company. I think if he fights again, it's on Showtime or CBS. But HBO? Nah...

And I don't pay attention to Rafael when it comes to Floyd. HBO, Top Rank, everything else? Yes. Floyd? Nah. Wasn't he the one claiming the Mayweather-Cotto rematch would happen instead of May-Pac? Who was his source for that? I don't think Dan has a pipeline to Floyd. Plus Epinoza is refuting what he said. Sounds like opinion anyway.

I understand CBS/SHowtime. IMO its an easy fight to go out to keep the 50th fight in play. I also understand Floyd wanting the right to sign a new deal since he completed the showtime deal.

Don't doubt it, Floyd will go where the dollars are.

I agree. And I suspect that him and a lot of dudes drop info on Mayweather...that they get from sources like Top Rank and GBP

No clue what network Mayweather will fight on next year. But given how burned Showtime was for not enforcing fighters to sign contracts when Haymon made his PBC power move taking all those fighters to other networks. Showtime would be fools to allow Mayweather to fight a bum for his last fight and then watch him fight for 50 on another network. Either force him to sign an extension or demand a higher quality fight to fulfill his contract.
