Trolling ass lol. Just don't read nothing thats been said 100x up in this thread

Again CBS is Showtime's daddy so its basically a showtime fight just like Mayweather was seemingly going to end his career (allegedly) on CBS. And it sounds like Showtime opted out of Stevenson's bs defense & will show his next fight if its a real ass fight. Michel has mentioned Stevenson is still signed to Showtime. HBO shouldn't have wanted to show Kov's last bs fight either if they were using their budget wisely. Coulda spent the $1M they paid Kov & the french guy to put on two prospects or something, anything better than that garbage fight.

Uh good luck with that, he hasn't had one of those since he signed his "exclusive Showtime contract" lol.

Kovalev has a legit exclusive contract with HBO, that's why they televised the mando. Plus the combined purse was what the A siders made in Lara Rodriguez (but far better ratings and viewer satisfaction) and Berto Hernandez mismatches, or even B sider Edwin Rodriguez for the Ward mismatch

Not just the HBO money, Stevenson's streak of poor ratings, attendance and Canadian PPV proceeds would be broken in a major way. Like I said, Pascal split 6m with Kov and didnt even bring a belt.
I agree ... let them bid and we'll see how much HBO (through Duva) has to offer for the fight and how much PBC has to offer.

The higher bid wins. That's what the free market is all about.

If HBO wants to have Kova's fights exclusively, fine ... just pony up enough to win the bid. Pay what the market sets the value at.

Again it's just not an option. HBO will not bid against Haymon, nor they should. The real world options for Stevenson are

          1. Fight Kovalev on HBO for career payday
          2. Fight more scrubs for much less money

Why are so many of you invested in defending 2? Haven't you had enough of it? I understand Stevenson, he's old and vulnerable and that belt is his lifeline.

              Why shouldn't they?

Kovalev is their fighter. They should support him by shelling out whatever it takes to win the bid if they want the unification on their network.

They shouldn't because they have a 30m annual budget, and they're trying to be more responsible with their money since the Haymon days, when they got fleeced for mismatches. Either way Stevenson makes way more on HBO vs Kovalev than vs any of the scrubs he's fought off HBO.

Kovalev doesn't even have a built in fanbase, and HBO won't go way over budget for a guy like Stevenson, who can't even draw in boxing mecca Quebec, and doesn't bring a whole lot of cred, esp with his recent off HBO "exploits"

Quote from Yvon Michel from the boxingscene article: "Adonis Stevenson will make the highest purse of his career ... by far. Against Fonfara, he going to make more than twice than what he made for his last fight. His highest paid fight was against Bellew. He is going to generate more than twice that. The license fee is twice the number too. Adonis' purse will be twice as big as his purse was against Bellew and the license fee that we got from Showtime was more than twice than what we got for the Bellew fight".

Boxingscene doesn't let you copy/paste, but I'll gladly take the minute to type up the actual content to cut your BS down at the knees, lol.

Anyone who actually read the articles would've seen the information and moved on. You seem to be a special kind of stubborn.

CBS/Showtime are in the same company. Ignore that is you want.

You keep talking up how terrible Stevenson's numbers are, yet you refuse to acknowledge that he was able to draw 1.8m viewers for an afternoon fight card. You yap about Stevenson-Fonfara doing a terrible rating, yet don't acknowledge that Showtime is available in ~20% fewer homes than HBO.

When Stevenson-Karpency draws a strong audience on Sp1keTV, and Stevenson takes home the equivalent of another $3m as a purse, hopefully you have the confidence to keep on talking your BS.

But you kept repeating SHO offered 2x what HBO did for Fonfara Stevenson. Wrong again, its in comparison to Bellew. And it took you days to come with this feeble defense lol
