Golden Boy is smart?!?!

Moving from a network that is in 90+ million homes - Fox Sports 1 - to a network that is in 30 million homes - Estrella - is a smart decision?

And putting fighters on a network that two-thirds of the population doesn't even get is a good way to establish a fan base?

The Fox1 deal was over they are moving to get free lunch money with PBC. But I think Golden Boy was more interested in the Fox Deportes airing their fights then Fox Sports1 anyway. Fox Deportes, HBO Latino, Estrella. Do you see the theme? Spanish speaking channels for their heavy spanish speaking fanbase for their heavy roster of Latino fighters and prospects. Once the Fox deal expired scooping up 2 channels HBO Latino and Estrella replaces what they lost with Fox.

What are they supposed to do? They have money but the hedge fund unlimited money that haymon has to buy time on multiple networks. They are an underdog right now, trying to stay afloat.

They should put on better fights...the FS1 shows were terrible. Most of them were one-sided mismatches.

If the fights had been better, FS1 wouldn't have walked away from the deal.

Presumably the fights will be of a low quality between unknown prospects and of little interest to anyone.

The best fights will still be broadcast on major channels, obviously.

Looks like Diego De La Hoya will likely headline the first fight card on Estrella TV, per Dan Rafael:
