Spanish speaking channels for their heavy spanish speaking fanbase for their heavy roster of Latino fighters and prospects. Once the Fox deal expired scooping up 2 channels HBO Latino and Estrella replaces what they lost with Fox.
It's not just Golden Boy.
There's a reason why Top Rank is on UniMas.
There's a reason why boxing is on Telemundo, beIN Sports Espanol, FOX Deportes, HBO Latino, etc.
Two shows a month for 3 years is a pretty solid commitment...and it fits Golden Boy's roster.

Looks like Diego De La Hoya will likely headline the first fight card on Estrella TV, per Dan Rafael:
The first card Golden Boy will promote on Estrella TV will be an "LA Fight Club" show Sept. 4. Featherweight prospect Diego De La Hoya (11-0, 7 KOs), first cousin of Golden Boy chairman and CEO Oscar De La Hoya, is likely to headline.Last edited by Mitchell Kane; 07-28-2015, 03:30 PM.
