So, Kovalev views Ward as " the perfect PPV opponent ".

And yet Gennady " desperate for a name opponent " Golovkin, does not

      Kovalev-Ward is a superfight. Golovkin-Lemieux is a bumfight.

Golovkin Lemieux would have been more fun a year or two ago but it's really soured by the fact that Genady could/should be facing better opposition right now. Still fun, but it's one of those fights you can't get too excited about because you know the hero ducked someone who would have given him a better fight.

I'm not excited by Lemieux. He was punched out by Rubio and outboxed by Alcine in two fights that he entered as the overwhelming favorite. His recent run of Guerrero, Rosado, N'Dam is not impressive to me due to the fact that Peter Quillin (an average fighter himself) already beat all those guys first.

Add in the PPV price and this fight becomes a colossal joke.

Kov is the man. You don't hear him talking about Ward isn't ppv material or he needs a big name or semi retired fighter for a ppv dance.

This guy knows he'll not only enhance his legacy against Ward, but also his star power

I'm still picking Ward, but Kov is easily becoming one of my favorite fighters out there
