Mares took the Moreno fight in a heartbeat who also has a difficult style and isn't a big money fighter.
There's no dis*****g he's a very good fighter and one of the best P4P I just don't see what others seem to.

He's not fought many good fighters the only top fighter he's foight is Donaire.

Lomachenko isn't a patient, limited Donaire who only has one punch to look out for.
Donaire even struggled with Vasquez Jr. In fact he has struggled with every fighter who doesn't engage. He is a left-hook artist who only looks good against aggressors that leave themselves wide open for his money punch and even then he has looked sub-par at times.

Rigondeaux might beat Lomachenko but it will be a very tough fight, by far the toughest of his career as a pro. Lomachenko has seen Toledo and a lot of Cuban styled amateurs before.
A fighter like Donaire had never seen anything like Rigondeaux in his life and that was evident from the first round.

I don't think there is a knockout or anybody getting shut out but I could be wrong its never 100% until we've seen 'em in the ring and that is the beauty of boxing and fights like this.

Lomachenko is most certainly the real deal if I was Rigondeaux I'd go after him asap before I got any older and he got any better. He is still a work in progress, he is not the finished article quite yet. Get him now whilst he likes to take breaks, the odd couple of rounds off and still needs some fine-tuning.

Rigo has great spacing and timing. I envisioned him being able to time Lomachenko on his way in and keep him at the end of his jab. With his reflexes in tact at least.

            Does Rigondeaux have a jab?

He mostly paws with it and uses it as a measuring stick.

I agree. I said jab but range would have probably been a better word.

I do think Rigondeaux boxes circles around Lomachenko.

I am less impressed with Lomachenko.

Similar situation. Looked great against Russell, I give him full credit but it's a favorable style matchup. When faced against a more rugged pressure fighter he folded a little, was inactive and reverted to clinching.

ZERO worries about Rigondeaux, who knows when to turn it on and he is the type of guy that will bring his BEST vs THE BEST like he did vs Donaire. I remember before the Donaire fight people was talking about his Defense and how he gets caught sometimes and how he has a suspect chin and how Donaire was going to knock him out. Then the Donaire fights happen and he put on a BOXING CLINIC!

I look forward to seeing him back in the ring hopefully soon and hopefully it is a Big Fight! Time off won't effect him at all because he is a SKILLED FIGHTER not a guy who only depend on 1 think like other fighters

He uses the pawing jab as a defensive tool, as soon as an opponent tries to parry it he slips or moves. Youtube some of his youtube case studies, that jab is an immensely valuable asset in Rigo's arsenal. Also keeps you tentative and stops you from getting reckless. I'll tell you now, if Rigo thinks he can walk through Rigo's shots he's in for a rude awakening. I'm a huge fan of both guys and I use them a lot to learn as I am also a southpaw.
