But as far as getting him a reasonable level opponent so he can fight on HBO at 168? I don't see it. It may turn out to be a brilliant move in the long run, but for now it seems like signing with Roc Nation maybe a bad move for him. Then again, if they just end up paying him 2 million dollars a fight tomato cans on BET, maybe he doesn't care.
of course eh doesn't care. he's been trying to run this scam for the last 4 years. when will people wake up. when he was with goosen he had the same guarantee but couldn't get a fight because he tried to figth caleb truax, dmitri sartison, and periban. hbo didn't want any of those fights so he sat on the shelf. now that he found a gullible promoter he can have his easy fights for 2 mill. watch who he fights next...salka?

As someone who likes both guys, is it a shame? I'd rather see GGG vs. Lemiux, the Cotto-Canelo winner, and maybe even Andy Lee.

I would also prefer to see Ward vs. Pascal and Kovalev.

I just think Ward beats anyone in an uneventful fight at 168, and I think every other fight I listed here would be a more interesting fight, but we'll see.

Simply put, a fight at 168, against whomever, at the Barclays Center in Brookly, NYC.

Look down the WBA 168 rankings, contact all available names, and take whomever is willing to step up and fight.

Ward knocked off the rust with the Paul Smith camp, so now it's time to see if his body can still comfortably get down to 168 (which I believe he can).

Beyond that, staging the fight in New York, at a venue and media market that his promoter has deep connections to, Ward can demonstrate 1)his ability to draw when backed with a sustained promotional effort and 2)the strength of the promotional ability of Roc Nation.

Because, looking at the variables in the mix (Golovkin having little cache beyond the hardcore fight fan, Lemieux not really having a name outside of Montreal, Jay-z's relationships within the New York media establishment, etc) Ward-TBA at Barclays will likely outdraw and deliver a larger actual gate than Golovkin-Lemieux at MSG.

Let see, the fight the forum want

vs GGG , GGG is fighting in the fall for unification

vs Kovalev, Kovalev is fighting in Russian next , and want Ward in 2016

vs Stevenson , Stevenson could be fighting Edwin "La Bomba" Rodriguez in canada in the fall

vs DeGale , DeGale wants the green belt (WBC) to go with his IBF belt

vs Chavez jr, Chavez Jr look like he don't want any top guy right now

              vs Froch , Retire

vs Fonfara , Fonfara wants the WBC to make him a mandatory so he can get his rematch

Ward did a local/national(appearance on The View) media run to hype the Paul Smith fight. He will likely do another local/national media tour to hype what would seem to be a Fall fight (no idea what the plan is, but it'd make a ton of sense to have Ward fight in NYC).

You add that BET is available in more than double the homes that HBO is available in, and I'm not all that sure why folks seem bent in having Ward bend to service HBO...

he should storm the press conference and put Mister 164 on the spot...you know, punk the little b*tch for being a vagina...I don't care who Ward fights next as long as he fight Krusher before the end of 2016 I'm cool with whatever decision he makes

That's insane. Those hardcore fans that golovkin has are all going to msg. It will probably be a sell out or very close to it. Ward vs anyone at the Barclays center doesn't sell out regardless of jayz's connections in New York.

Hmm...that's something I'd be interested in. Both Ward and Fonfara fought at a 172 CW in their last fights too.
