I can see this doing 180K to 250K, but my money is going to Canelo vs Cotto, sorry.

He's got Canadian PPV too. Plus the undercard is booger weights who command cheap purses. The break even number is probably very low.

At least you read postings here... or you have an idea about the actual context... Your people use to ponder everything within the U.S. market alone...

Canadian ppv will help but it won't do much. Maybe another 15-20k. The American ppv is where the bulk of the money is gonna come from no doubt. Not sure what the break even number is but it mostly depends on the purses and ppv pricing. Too low and they might lose money. Too high and no1 will buy. Oscar said he was looking for 300-500k no way do I believe he's actually banking on that.

No way it does that much. If they hit those estimates be would be A-side against both Canelo and Cotto which would be hilarious.

I think people are basically speaking on behalf of themselves and their close associates when they talk about how much PPV this fight will do. From what I understand the entire world is wired to cable and PPV will be available in Canada and Eastern Europe and lots of other areas also.

The American audience might do 100 - 200 k but who knows about Canada and Europe. I know Lemieux is a huge star in Canada and Golovkin a huge star from his place of origin and is becoming a big star in the West.

If they promote this fight well and emphasize that these are two KO artists who both can punch very effectively and get you out, the interest might be piqued. If this is a fairly priced PPV like $50 - $60, I will give this strong consideration. I will absolutely never pay for a Floyd Mayweather fight so with that money not spent I would consider this one definitely.

                I'm gonna say around 150,000

I can't see it doing around 300 like a lot of people Are guessing unless you count Canadian PPV that Lemieux brings in.

I don't think it flops unless it does under 150,000
Even that at $60 generates $9 million in revenue. Plenty to pay the fighters and networks etc...

i bet you paid $100 for what is now known as "the ****fest"
You would lose that bet. I'm done with Mayweather and Pacquiao PPVs. However, I do plan on shelling out the doe for Cotto Canelo...

That being said, it's not the kinda matchup that seems like it would do very well on PPV. ODLH stood behind the match being on PPV saying it was a good start for both of them, and says he expects 350-500k buys (quote/source below). So what do y'all think? Can it do that many?

Also, what is the general opinion of the matchup.. is Lemieux an improvement from Monroe? Can he win?

"When you talk about getting **** for your buck it doesn't get any better than this," De La Hoya said. "When you think about the pay-per-view numbers we're being real here. This is not a million-selling pay-per-view. We're thinking along the lines of between 350,000 and 500,000 buys. You have to start somewhere, and this is a perfect fight for both guys to start off on pay-per-view. Obviously, we are going to stack the card like there's no tomorrow. We want to give the fans **** for their buck."

                    It should do fine.
Promote it properly, make a good undercard, price it reasonably.
                    Id buy it.

I'm sure the ones in charge know what to expect. This is a first time ppv for GGG ABD I'm sure they have an idea where it will be numbers wise. For any first time ppv, they can expect around 300,000 buys give or take around 50,000 and if they get that it will turn a profit for everyone. So I see it around 300,000. And those are good numbers for foreign born fighters. Don't forgot all ppv Stars started out with those kind of numbers and i expect the same with this one. I'll be buying for sure.
