I think Kovalev will whip that ass all night and go for broke entering the 10th or so, leaving Ward a shivering wreck on the floor.

If Ward steps up to try and snatch the gold from the number 1 LHWT's waist he deserves all the credit in the world. But he is NEVER winning that fight let's be real.

I don't think Ward can make the full twelve by outboxing for majority of the rounds. Unlike Mayweather, Ward isn't the full package because he doesn't seem to have the chin to hold up with Kovalev's crushing power.

I think Ward need to take out Kovalev quickly to win.

I can't say I'm confident at this point. I'd like to see him test the waters against a legit 175lber before the fight to see what he looks like.

If ward decides to trade early with kovalev,he's going to be counting stars before buffer is finished with the introductions.

          I doubt it

Ward doesnt have the pop to make Kovalev respect him. KO. Ward is a great talent, but no Floyd

kovalev will eventually lose when someone hits him hard enough. Wont be a decision. adonis has a punhers chance, but Kovalev likely wins. Beterbiev looks like the one to do it....eventually

That's what I think the problem would be. I still want to see the fight though, contrary to what my post in that other thread might suggest.

We shall find out If/When it happens! Ward is very clever with a excellent jab. Of course Kovalev has deadly Power that is not a secret but once again fans make it all about POWER and forget about the other aspects in boxing

If I get inside and give you no room to get off when your Power...THEN WHAT?

Man, it's tough to say. If anyone can go the distance with Kovalev right now, it's Ward. Doesn't mean he would win though. Kovalev is a great boxer in his own right and I don't see Ward having the power to disrupt him, so it would have to be an extremely tactical and well-executed fight for Ward to win.

Yeah, Ward's best chance may be to try smothering Kovalev to keep him from having room to work.
