Would Andre Ward be able to take Kovalev all 12 rounds when they fight?

I don't think Ward can make the full twelve by outboxing for majority of the rounds. Unlike Mayweather, Ward isn't the full package because he doesn't seem to have the chin to hold up with Kovalev's crushing power.

I think Ward need to take out Kovalev quickly to win.

Take him out with what? Punches? No way... Headbutts maybe...

Landing clean on Ward's chin is probably the 2nd hardest chin to land on in boxing right now.
It will take a fighter who can manage distance, and is able to set up and land punches necessary to cause Ward problems.
Kovalev can do all those things and he might be the most devastating puncher p4p in the sport today.
Doesn't look good for Ward.

Kovalev power is the only way he can win. Hell of an equalizer. Ward is a master technician at the same time. Skill usually beats power

We don't really know what kind of chin Beterbiev has. Relying on his chin while trying to walk down a big puncher is not the smartest idea. Pulev had a belief in his chin (and maybe to a certain degree rightly so), but it did not turn out too well. The best chance for Beterbiev would be to get in Kovalev's chest and try to make it a mauling contest, denying the full extension on Kovalev's straight punches (similar to what Hatton did to Tszyu). Beterbiev's hooks will be quite effective in the inside fight. But Kovalev has pretty good legs, great anticipation and he can be quite disciplined, all of which he demonstrated in Hopkins fight.

If this version of Hopkins could do it I don't doubt tgat Ward would do it. And he is vastly better than this version if Hop.
Ward knows exactly what his opponent weaknesses and uses them against them. He can fight many more ways and from more ranges equally good. I think he would outsmart and outspeed Kovalev too. I can't see what Kovalev can do when his favourite type of fight has taken away from him, I can't see him adapt. He decisioned Hopkins but there he wasn't forced to fight a different kind of fight than usually. He fought llas he always fights, only difference was that Hopkins survived to s decision. Kovalev relies heavily on range and fluid forward momentum, I think if someone takes those away from him (and who else would take them away than Ward) then he couldn't adapt.

Based on you like Kovalev better I guess because so far Kovalev showed NOTHING what would imply that he is a better inside fighter than Ward who showed multiple of times that maybe he is the best inside fighter out there now.
Confidence in you favourites is cool but don't get ignorant with it. Build your opinion on something don't just write random odd things like that.
