I think credit should go to Lemiuex and De La Hoya for making this fight, even if it's a joke that it's a PPV.

They could have easily milked some defences in Canada. I never thought they'd go for it. He must be getting paid well but still, he's giving away his title on the first defence.

People not giving Lemieux enough credit. Sure he lost 2 fights but those fights happened early in his career he is only 26. That's like a lifetime ago for a young fighter who is still getting better with every fight. He's on like a 10 fight streak where he has practically knocked out or knocked down every fighter he has faced. won a title beaten some good fighters along the way. For the last 4 years he hasn't just been winning he has been dominating and displaying amazing power. He can definitely hurt GGG. And he doesn't need to string a lot of punches to get you down he has legit one punch power.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I thought GB would've built David up a little more, but I'll still watch it.

Yep, the fact it got done so quick indicates that neither team GGG nor team lemieux are difficult to negotiate with

I was dogging GGG yesterday saying that he should move up in weight to 168 and fight Ward if no notable name is willing to fight at 160. However, Lemmiux is a notable name with the IBF title. No shame in wanting to capture and clear the 160 division. Also this is way more interesting than Lara/GGG. Lara stunk out the joint last time he was fighting Rodriguez.

i don't think HBO expects big numbers from this match up.

like i said, golovkin is poppin his cherry.

it was clear from day one that HBO were creating GGG as their next PPV star, there you have it.

it's a good thing. only big names next.

All I did was explain why those fights abd those fighters get away with it. Golovkin isn't that. And this fight STILL doesn't belong on ppv. If u say it does because of what u highlighted what's to stop every other champion from trying to put their unification on ppv. Stop defending this **** man. That's the one aspect of this fight that is pretty much indefensible.

golovkin's first ppv is a unification fight!

not guerrero, not algeri, ortiz, rios. he's unifying the mw division.

when floyd and pac fought the fighters i mentioned above, they were already ESTABLISHED ppv stars.
