I'm guessing Lemieux's got a $3-4mill min guarantee. Lemieux pulled around a mill from his Canadian ppv vs N'Dam alone and Loeffler said Golovkin's been getting around a mill per fight from selling his international tv rights in over 20 countries across Europe & Asia.

Golovkin/Lemieux is going to get as many ppv buys as Ward/Perriban on BET get viewers. Tell me will you break down and cry if Golovkin/Lemieux is a success?

Should be fun while it lasts. GGG by KO early-to-mid.

All I read for 2 weeks was people complain that Lemieux was going to make a mandatory defense of the title he won before fighting GGG. Now you got people complaining saying this fight means nothing for GGG. Make up your minds people. This is the best fight at 160 for GGG right now. And he's facing a huge puncher. No matter who wins this will not be a boring fight. If your a boxing fan how could you not want to see this fight? Two world Champs, two promoters making the best fight possible for either guy. What's there to hate

Similar to Canelo-Kirkland. Fun fight while it lasts but short and one-sided.

Forget the numbers, the fact of the matter is there was 7000 or so American/local fans who went to see some unknown Kazakh at MSG.

I'll say it again- the top was blocked off. There was only one small section that wasn't almost completely packed.

              Deal with it
Saying that there was a "packed out crowd" for Golovkin's first fight at MSG is skewing reality.

His first fight at MSG didn't sell as well as they thought it would. That's why they've taken over a year to go back there.

Hopefully he does better second time around.

so it's even worse: they were "all established world superstars with audiences and audiences that buy ppvs" and yet they all went with fights that didn't deserve to be on ppv.

any you're moaning about ggg who's about have his first ppv fight

and it's not a guerrero, algeri type of mismatch. it's a unification fight on his first ppv.

                try again.

                  Sorry Canelo/Cotto

i yhink golovkin's got a setup that is leagues beyond lemieux, but i think lemieux is clearly the harder hitter in the early rounds.

golovkin's got heavy hands, and some one punch, explosive power. lemieux has ridiculous, explosive, one punch power.

Except that Lemieux is, you know, a champion, an active fighter and not completely washed up.

I'd rather have the option to pay for Golovkin-Lemieux than get Canelo-Kirkland with an HBO subscription.

In not so many words, he's making a first step in making a Golovkin - Ward superfight.
