    June 9, 2007 Cotto vs. Judah 225,000
    November 10, 2007 Cotto vs. Mosley 400,000
    July 26, 2008 Cotto vs. Margarito 450,000
    November 14, 2009 Pacquiao vs. Cotto 1,250,000
    March 12, 2011 Cotto vs. Mayorga 250,000
December 3, 2011 Cotto vs. Margarito II 600,000
    May 5, 2012 Mayweather vs. Cotto 1,500,000
    June 7, 2014 Cotto vs. Martinez 350,000
300k-400k as the A side used could get you as the #3 PPV guy in the sport hence Cotto getting where he's at.

I think the over/under on this fight is probably about 300k buys or $15M revenue. I'd take the under cuz idk if people are ready to pay to see GGG & few know who the f#ck Lemieux even is.

For the 2nd time, you're obviously referring to Floyd-Berto PPV Sept 12.

Yeah, if it's priced affordably (and let's see what that means), then I don't see what there is to complain about.

It's a unification bout, and it's one of the more exciting match-ups in the sport.

Yes it was. The top section was blocked off. It was packed not considering how many seats MSG holds, but how many people showed up out of available tickets.

Top section was cut off and they had 9000 tickets for sale I think, I only saw one section there that wasn't completely packed.

There were a LOT of people there for GGG and a very, very small percentage of them were Eastern European. That was Golovkin's first fight at the big Garden and against an unknown Aussie and he had 8000 or so people there for him. The crowd was great.

            Stop hating.

@ PPV though. What are they thinking?
We all know your point of reference is Froch and how big of a star he is and how he never needed to throw a bone to GGG .... so Froch-Groves II did 900,000 views at 17 pounds a pop which is about $26 - so total of $23.4 million.
Ticket sales from the 77,000 crowd were $9.5 million. Froch netted $12.5 million.

If this next fight goes at $50/ticket and gets 300,000 views then that will be $15 million income just from ppv. Not a bad start for the first PPV. Lets see where Golovkin is at the end of his career.

              • I'm a GGG fan and I sure as hell won't pay to watch it on PPV.

I don't think it's a bad fight. I understand it, still does not belong on ppv. No matter how u try to slice it. Only hardcore fans are gonna buy this.
i can name you 5 fights that happened in the last 5 years that didn't belong on ppv. and every which one of them was headlined by one of the 2 current biggest boxing stars.

Mayweather is fighting on PPV in September then Cotto-Canelo in November.
                  floyd is fighting on sho.

canelo - cotto will proably harm it, i agree.

ggg - lemieux is a test of ggg's starpower. it's a foreplay before the canelo and ward fights.

                  • This should be a fun fight but Lemieux will get outclassed then stopped. GGG's boxing ability is hands down superior. He knows how to deliver the power with more variety and higher accuracy. You'd be a fool to think David has a chance.
